• Salary: $72,651 - $99,129 (pro rata) - RN/RM1; $84,870 - $107,279 (pro rata) - RN/RM2C 
• Multiple positions Perm F/T & P/T (hrs negotiable, working over a 7 day roster)

Please note that this position is multi-classified as either a RN/M1 or RN/M2C.

Overview

You will assist with the provision of professional high quality, evidence based nursing care to patients within the Private Ward at Mount Gambier Hospital. Assessing individual patient needs, you will plan, implement and coordinate appropriate nursing care delivery from a range of accepted options. You will also provide health education, counselling and rehabilitation programs to improve the health outcomes of individual patients or groups. Consolidating your knowledge and skills, you will develop in capability through continuous professional development and experience and maintain cooperative and productive working relationships with all members of the health care team. You will need to be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse or Nurse/Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. If appointed at the RN2 level, you will have prior experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, Enrolled Nurses, and less experienced Registered Nurses. With demonstrated competence in nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards, you will have effective communication skills including problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills. With the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and prioritise workloads, you will be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within a healthcare setting.
