We currently have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified RN/M2C Clinical Nurse/Midwife to join the CAMHS – Consultation Liaison Service team working in a full-time ongoing/ permanent role.

CAMHS Consultation Liaison support children with:

  • Psychological, behavioural and relational problems associated with a medical illness, injury or disability which severely impacts on the medical issue and overall functioning
  • Physical or somatic symptoms where psychological issues are suspected to contribute to the presentations, including functional disorders and medically unexplained signs and symptoms
  • Psychiatric illness within the medical setting
  • Complex neurodevelopmental disorders and disability

The CAMHS Clinical Nurse/Midwife duties include;

  • Provide nursing and/or midwifery services in a variety of health service settings which has been consolidated by experience and/or further study with staff at this level developing from competent to proficient practitioners
  • Accepts accountability for their own practice standards, activities delegated to others and the guidance and development of less experienced staff
  • Has experience and understanding of the particular requirements of the hospital context and its impact on direct patient care and the provision of inpatient and outpatient consultation/liaison and therapeutic interventions

About you

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Demonstrated ability to relate to people from a diverse range of cultural and social backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing a quality client centred service to the patient.
  • Registered Nurse with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience.
  • The development of appropriate care plans, in collaboration with colleagues, consumers and families.
