The Registered Midwife Role

As a Registered Midwife, you deliver essential nursing and midwifery care within dynamic healthcare environments. Progressing from novice to proficient levels of practice, you continuously enhance your expertise through ongoing professional development and hands-on experience. You take ownership of your standards of care and confidently delegate responsibilities, ensuring exceptional healthcare delivery at every step.

Must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.

This is a multiple positions part time vacancy, hours to be negotiated and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.

The Port Augusta Hospital and Regional Health Service provides acute services ranging from in-hospital care for adults and children by medical officers including outpatients. Our staff work in close partnership with community health services and Aboriginal health providers to ensure that optimum care is delivered to all areas of the community. We also provide specific facilities and staff for Aboriginal patients.
