About the Role: 

As the Sterilisation Services Attendant, you will carry out a range of sterilising operations which result in the timely and efficient supply of equipment, instruments, and anaesthetic equipment to the hospital. You will have demonstrated experience in the perioperative and Sterilisation Services department with knowledge of instruments, sterilising methods and infection control principles. 

Your duties will include the sterilisation/disinfection and timely supply of:

  • Instruments/ Equipment, 
  • and anaesthetic equipment. 

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, 
  • Demonstrated competence in computer literacy,
  • Commitment to customer service and confidentiality, 
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. 

Knowledge and understanding of AS 5369:2023 Reprocessing of reusable medical devices and other devices in health and non-health facilities; ACHS Quality Systems is advantageous to the role. Sterilisation Services departments are located at both Noarlunga Hospital and Flinders Medical Centre.
