Overview

You will contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive and integrated range of speech pathology services to inpatients and in the needs of the local community. Working in the Southern Fleurieu Community, you will work with the multidisciplinary team, including health professionals and service providers from other sectors. You will provide individual, group and population health services, targeting at-risk and priority clients within the community in accordance with service eligibility and prioritisation criteria. To achieve this, you will utilise a combination of preventative, early intervention, treatment/therapy and evaluation approaches in speech pathology.

Qualifications

You must hold a recognised qualification within the Speech Pathology profession, and be eligible for full membership of the Speech Pathology Association (SPA). Capable of managing and prioritising a personal workload, you will be skilled in providing straightforward clinical services, including one-on-one, group and health promotion activities. You will bring a proactive approach to developing and maintaining contemporary knowledge and skills in Speech Pathology, and apply client-centred practice and community engagement principles in the provision of services. Effective communication skills, including problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills, will hold you in good stead for this role.
