Attractive salary starting from $87,934 for up to 38 hours per week, plus 11% superannuation, additional allowances for working any overtime, up to $8,500 professional development allowance, and up to $10,000 relocation allowance.

About the Roles:

Advanced Trainee/Registrar

Medical Oncology is committed to the achievement of best practice in the design and delivery of services to its patients.  In a training capacity contributes to the provision of clinical management of patients and supervision of intern staff to ensure that patients receive the best possible care within the objectives and philosophies of CALHN with a commitment to inpatient and ambulatory care, research, education and teaching.

Haematology Registrar 

The incumbent may enter the State-wide Advanced Haematology training programme with a view to gaining the FRACP and/or FRCPA.

The position may also be held by:

  • Advanced trainees registered and in good standing in other speciality training programs who wish to do clinical rotations in haematology
  • Career medical officers who have completed BPT (Basic Physician Training) requirements with the RACP but are not currently in an advanced training program
  • Medical officers without BPT training may still be considered on a case-by-case basis

Locations:

The Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH) is South Australia's largest accredited teaching hospital. It is one of South Australia’s largest providers of cancer care and treatment, caring for patients across South Australia, surrounding states and territories. Services are provided in inpatient, outpatient and community settings.

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH), 20 minutes west of the CBD, is a 307 bed acute care teaching hospital, with the ED seeing approximately 125 patients a day, along with a varied case-mix including paediatrics and gynaecology. A new upgrade is in progress to include a new ED, in addition new operating theatres, day surgery suite, outpatient clinics, medical imaging services and intensive care unit.
