• Salary: AHP3 - $102,641- $110,094 (p.a.)+ Superannuation & Salary Sacrifice Benefits

• Part Time, Permanent Role working 30 hours per week 

About the role

• The Specialist Sonographer is responsible for the provision of Ultrasound procedures using specialised equipment to perform complex medical imaging examinations for clients across a range of clinical specialities with a high level of professional independence. 
• The incumbent continues to obtain specialist Ultrasound knowledge, contribute to developing professional knowledge of other radiographers and contributes to professional Ultrasound standards.
• The incumbent undertakes routine research programs and may coordinate Ultrasound quality assurance programs.

An additional Attraction and Retention allowance of 10% applies to all SAMI Sonographers including those engaged on an ongoing, temporary or casual basis, whether employed on a full-time or part-time basis, and extends to any new staff members who commence employment during the period in which the allowance is payable. This allowance is over and above the current award rates set by the SA Government.

Essential Requirements:

• Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
• Working With Children Check (DHS)
• Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description. SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.

Educational/Vocational Qualifications:

• Appropriate Ultrasound post graduate qualification.
• Registered as an Accredited Sonographer as administered by the Australasian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR)
