About the Role:

Working as a part of the OPMHS multi-disciplinary team, the Occupational Therapist undertakes complex Occupational Therapy and mental health specific service provision. Service provision aims to enhance the mental health and functional independence of consumers of Older Persons Mental Health Service. The Occupational Therapist may be required to work within both community and inpatient psycho-geriatric settings.

About you:

  • Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
  • Experience in a multidisciplinary team environment in mental health.
  • Experience in the provision of Mental Health Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions.
  • Experience in the collaborative development, implementation and monitoring of planned interventions for consumers with complex mental health needs.
  • Must be highly motivated and have the ability to engage with consumers who have extremely high service needs.
