Opportunity for a talented HR Professional to join a large and well-established HR team, providing service to the workforce that serve our community.

About the role:

The Principal Human Resource (HR) Business Partner is responsible for managing a small HR Business Partner Team providing HR Account Management Services. The successful applicant will partner with the Division’s leadership team, to assist in delivery of the Division’s strategic directions and operational imperatives, whilst providing support to the HR Team. Requirements of the role include:

  • Ensure quality, consistent, and timely advice is provided to the divisions directly or through other members of the team.
  • Account Management services including change management, recruitment advice, team functioning, individual performance, advice on position classification and remuneration, employee relations, non-work related disability or medical incapacity case management, resolving grievances and disputes and misconduct matters.
  • Contributes to the implementation of HR policy and procedures and the development of plans which support the organisation’s strategic objectives and operational performance.

About you:

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • Experience in providing expert advisory and specialist consultancy services to senior management in a range of general Human Resource matters
  • Proven experience in leading HR teams across spectrum of HR functions.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills together with proven abilities in liaising, consulting and negotiating complex and sensitive issues
  • High-level conceptual and analytical skills with the ability to research and undertake sensitive and/or complex investigations and projects (including risk management) critically examining, analysing and summarising information, and to develop and report on appropriate policies, strategies and solutions
  • Advanced written, oral and verbal communications skills, with demonstrated written skills in board and executive papers
