About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services team as a Nurse Consultant, where you will be responsible for:

  • providing clinical mental health nursing expertise for children, adolescents, peri-natal women and their families with mental health issues.
  • delivering specialist mental health nursing assessment, risk assessment and clinical intervention to consumers with complex/immediate mental health needs.
  • ensuring follow up/referral for mental health consumers within the Paediatric Emergency Department and inpatient areas WCH as required

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to:

  • Are registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia and hold a qualification in mental health practice
  • Have at least 3 years post registration experience
  • Experience in acute and/or child and adolescent mental health settings
