Flinders Medical Centre are looking for an Administration Officer to join the Cardiology Unit!

About the Role:

Exciting opportunity to join the Cardiology team in SALHN. The Cardiology Administrative Assistant is accountable to the Cardiology Operations Manager for the provision of administrative, secretarial and clerical services to Cardiology Department medical and nursing staff and the Operations Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage the scheduling and coordination of cardiac procedures for patients. This will include collaborating with other hospital departments such to ensure resources are allocated effectively. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of cardiac care services for the cardiac patients of Flinders Medical Centre. By overseeing the scheduling and coordination of cardiac procedures, this position contributes to the smooth operation of the cardiac department and the provision of high-quality care to patients with cardiovascular conditions. Other tasks may include:

  • Answering telephone inquiries, evaluate their urgency and redirect them to the appropriate person.
  • Assisting in the preparation of medical reports, teaching and research material.
  • Organising the Cardiologists timetables between public and private hospitals requiring liaison with other departments, health and tertiary educational institutions and scheduling clinics.

About you:

  • Determine and prioritise work demands.
  • Possess flexibility and adaptability to cope with changing work requirements.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing a comprehensive and confidential clerical and typing service to senior officers.
  • Experience in dealing with a diverse range of clients in an office environment.
