We are looking for dedicated and skilled Registered/Clinical Nurses to join our Adult Mental Health team and help make a difference in Southern Adelaide's local community!

About the Role:

Ward 18V is an acute inpatient unit for older people with mental health problems. The unit provides treatment and support for people living in the southern metropolitan Adelaide area and some country areas. It is a 30-bed unit that is divided into two separate areas - the General Unit and the High Dependency Unit. We strive to ensure each consumer is accommodated and cared for in the area that best meets their individual needs.

In this role, you will consolidate your knowledge and experience to provide your nursing services across a variety of health service settings.

Please note: This position is multi-classed as either RN1 or RN2C and classification will be determined by qualifications experience.

About you:

  • Registered as a Nurse by the Nursing/Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and who holds a current practicing certificate. Must be enrolled in an approved mental health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice.
  • (RN2C) Must have at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience.
  • Demonstrated competence in Mental health nursing practice in accordance with the relevant standards
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to be, creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within a healthcare setting.
