About the Role:

The Community Engagement Adviser is responsible for advancing SALHN’s commitment and strategic vision in engaging effectively with clinicians, community, research community and staff. The Community Engagement Adviser is responsible for enhancing relationships and partnerships with SALHN stakeholders, including councils, external partners, volunteers, universities, charities and other Local Health Networks.

 

About you:

  • Relevant qualifications or experience in Community Engagement.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills which demonstrates a capacity to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders on a range of sensitive and complex issues to achieve positive outcomes.
  • The ability to work with communities to understand the way in which services should be developed to meet their health needs and the ability to translate this into improvements.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability of working successfully in a multi-disciplinary environment including facilitating the achievement of collaborative outcomes, developing and implementing tools for training programs for multi-disciplinary staff and liaising and consulting with a range of external agencies.
