Overview

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to temporarily fill our Associate Nurse Unit Manager position in our Acute Services area at Barmera Health Service.

As a Registered Nurse, your primary role is to provide nursing and/or midwifery services in a variety of health settings.  As the Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) - Acute Services, you will provide support to the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) or equivalent in the leadership of nurses/midwives in Acute Services.

At this level you will undertake a portfolio with which you will promote continuity and consistency of care in collaboration with other ANUMs and the NUM; assist in implementing practice changes and managerial responsibilities eg. performance management processes, recruitment, staffing, leave management, rostering, work allocation, attendance management and financial and supplies planning and monitoring.

Eligibility

The successful applicant will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate with at least 3 years post registration experience or be currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.  Experience in the supervision of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses essential.
