About the role

• Undertake with care and skill, the supervised management of patients within the Vascular Surgery Unit
• Ensuring thorough and prompt documentation in the medical record of the initial assessment, treatment, clinical progress and discharge summary.
• Perform a range of procedural skills with increasing discrimination and dexterity.
• Ensure continued professional development and medical knowledge and skills by regular attendance at tutorials, relevant clinical meetings and through personal study.
• Supervision of junior colleagues where applicable
• Contribute to medical teaching/training programs for interns and medical students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
• Registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Successful completion of intern training or equivalent (house officer, medical officer 1)

Essential Requirements:

• Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
• Working with Children Check
• Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description. SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
