Duration of the training program: 12 months from 3/2/25 up to 1/2/26

Term of the Contract: 3 Years in line with clause 52 of the Salaried Medical Officers Enterprise Agreement

At the end of the training program, CALHN will work with the employee to find a suitable placement within SA Health for the remainder of the 3 year contract.                        

About the role

  • Responsible for the managing the care of all patients allocated to current department in consultation with the responsible Consultants, Nurses and Allied Health professionals.
  • Actively contributes to the continuous quality improvement and continuous education activities.
  • Responsible for the outpatient and inpatient day to day clinical care of patients under the supervision of nominated consultants.
  • To ensure a high standard of clinical practice or junior medical staff in the department.
  • Participate in departmental teaching and provide support to junior medical staff.

Qualifications

  • MBBS or equivalent degree registerable with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority (AHPRA).
