Coober Pedy Health Services is seeking a motivated Services Assistant to join our team and contribute to the smooth operation of our health unit through efficient catering, cleaning, and laundry services.

About the Role: As a Services Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering timely and effective services that ensure the comfort and well-being of our clients. Your role will involve preparing, serving, and delivering food, as well as performing general housekeeping and laundry duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Services: Prepare, serve, and deliver meals to clients, ensuring food safety and quality standards are met.
  • Housekeeping: Perform general cleaning duties to maintain a clean and hygienic environment within the health unit.
  • Laundry Duties: Undertake laundry tasks, including washing, drying, and folding of linen and personal items.
  • Efficiency: Provide timely and efficient services to support the overall functioning of the health unit.

The Coober Pedy Hospital is part of the Eyre and Far North Local Health Network. Our hospital has 10 acute beds, four high-level residential aged care beds, and three emergency department beds.

Our staff work in close partnership with community health services and Aboriginal health providers to ensure that optimum care is delivered to all areas of the community.

This is a part time vacancy, hours are negotiable and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
