We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our CALHN Acute occupational therapy team based at the TQEH, Woodville South. Our Occupational therapy service provides therapy to the Emergency Department, Acute Medical / Short stay Unit; General Medical; Geriatrics; Orthopaedics; Surgical; Plastics & Hand Therapy; Cancer & Palliative Care; Respiratory & Cardiac (heart & lung); Renal services.

There are current opportunities to work in Surgical and General Medical streams with opportunity to move into other clinical areas, services, or sites as part of your professional development and interest. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high level high level professional judgement, clinical reasoning, and skills to the clinical management of patients with significant levels of complexity.
  • Work with a broad and diverse range of multi-disciplinary health professionals within the largest health system in South Australia.
  • Provide clinical leadership, education, coordination, and support for patients, staff, and agencies.

As a Senior occupational therapist, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your expertise and autonomy in decision-making, contributing significantly to our mission of enhancing patient outcomes. This will suit an Occupational Therapist with at least five years’ experience and will build your career and professional development in this field.

Qualifications

  • An appropriate Degree or equivalent which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist by the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (OTBA) and Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
