Looking for your next career move in a dynamic healthcare setting? We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to temporarily step into the role of Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) in our Acute Services area at Barmera Health Service.

As an ANUM, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and leading a dedicated team of nurses and midwives in the Acute Services unit. You will be responsible for ensuring continuity and consistency of care, working closely with other ANUMs and the NUM to drive excellence in patient outcomes. Your leadership will extend to overseeing performance management, recruitment, staffing, rostering, and leave management, while also contributing to financial and supplies planning.

Eligibility

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Holds or eligible to hold a current practicing certificate
  • Minimum of 3 years post-registration experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife
  • Experience in supervising student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses is essential
