We are seeking an Advanced Nurse Unit Manager to lead, coordinate, and enhance consumer care within our Integrated Mental Health Team in Mount Gambier. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact through leadership, clinical expertise, and dedicated management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Coordination: Oversee and guide the nursing team and/or multi-disciplinary team activities, ensuring high standards of care and effective delivery in a defined service area.
  • Clinical Expertise: Utilise your extensive clinical knowledge to drive the quality and continuity of consumer care, addressing and resolving any inconsistencies between practice and policy.
  • Resource Management: Manage local resources effectively to achieve optimal outcomes for consumers and support the nursing and mental health services.
  • Team Development: Foster a positive work culture by developing team performance, mentoring staff, and promoting continuous improvement.
  • Accountability: Take responsibility for nursing and multidisciplinary outcomes within the practice setting, ensuring alignment with best practices and organizational standards.
You must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate, and must hold a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing or equivalent in mental health nursing.
