  • Get paid while you study. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Registered Nurse in the Graduate Diploma Mental Health Program 2025 Intake. 

    SA Health has a comprehensive range of public mental health services for children and adolescence, adults, and older people in SA. Services are provided through community health centres and hospitals, and to consumers in their own homes. SALHN has a range of mental health services available that include, The Margaret Tobin Centre, The Jamie Lacombe Centre, Morier Ward, Ward 4GP and 18V as well as community mental health teams. 

    About the Role:

    Your role responsibilities will include:

    • Deliver evidence-based care
    • Continuously develop clinical skills
    • Stay updated with professional standards and quality management initiatives
    • Adhere to organisational policies
    • Work with older individuals and culturally diverse families
    • Assess individual patient needs
    • Plan, implement, and coordinate service delivery
    • Collaborate with other disciplines and agencies as necessary

    To be successful in this role, you will: 

    • Be registered as a Nurse by the Nursing/Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and who hold a current practicing certificate.
    • Must be enrolled in an approved mental health course.
    • Effective communication skills including, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
    • The ability to be, creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within a healthcare setting.
