About the Role:

The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses / Clinical Nurses to join our Adult Community Mental Health team providing exceptional care to individuals.

Community-based mental health nurses play a vital role in Australia’s healthcare system. With 1 in 5 people experiencing a mental illness in any given year, the demand for mental health support continues to rise. Various socioeconomic factors, such as access to services, living conditions and employment status, can influence someone’s mental health. This impact is not limited to the individual but extends to their families and caregivers. As such, a community mental health nurse’s role is to provide all affected individuals with the support they need. Join our Mental Health Community Team at NALHN to make a difference.

As a Registered Nurse / Clinical Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. Your responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing care plans, and providing support and education to clients and their families.

To be eligible for this position, you must be registered as a Nurse by the Nursing/Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and hold a current practicing certificate. You must be enrolled in an approved mental health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice.
