Join our Emergency Department as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager! 

The Noarlunga Hospital ED is open 24 hours, seven days a week and 24 hour. Our ED team consists of medical officers, registered and enrolled nurses, clerical staff and client support staff.  

About the Role:

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), this role supports NUM in the Emergency Department. Duties for the role will include:

  • Budget preparation, monitoring and reporting and adherence to resources allocations,
  • Provide proficient, person centred, clinical nursing/midwifery care and/or individual case management to patients/clients in a defined clinical area,
  • Assists and supports the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager or equivalent in management, clinical, and education activities,
  • Assist the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager or equivalent to maintain and record monitoring and evaluative research activities in the ward/unit.

About you:

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse and Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate,
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team,
  • Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience,
  • Experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses.
