About the Role

  • Strategic and Operational Leadership: Lead and manage the Planning and Strategy team, Implementation and Improvement Unit, Evidence and Insights team and Health Information Service.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Collaborate with project owners, executives, and clients to lead and implement management strategies.
  • Project and Change Management: Drive the delivery of strategic projects while implementing best practices.
  • Governance: Implement and maintain high quality processes to ensure compliance and strengthen governance assurance.
  • Service Planning and Organisational Development: Lead strategic health service planning, manage projects, drive innovation, develop quality systems, engage communities, and ensure program outcomes.
  • Financial Management: Manage budgets, drive strategic planning and forecasting, and ensure efficient use of resources to meet targets and control expenditure.
  • Continuous Improvement: Ensure continuous quality improvement and compliance.
  • Human Resource Management: Oversee workforce planning and redesign.

This role is responsible for overseeing and delivering health service planning and modelling for CALHN, working closely with Executive and senior program and clinical staff to ensure the local health network's planning aligns with requirements.

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and high-level analytical skills to analyse complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Proven ability to lead change programs in large organizations by building strong relationships, creating a clear vision, aligning with strategic goals, and effectively implementing plans across the organization.
  • Proven experience in leading and advocating for innovation, managing large-scale improvement programs, and driving change in complex environments.
  • Proven track record in program development, implementation, and evaluation at a senior level, including process mapping and re-engineering.
  • Strong analytical and policy expertise with the ability to identify problems, develop solutions, and negotiate successful outcomes innovatively and resourcefully.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing high-performing teams, applying analytical expertise, and utilizing contemporary methods like Agile Methodology.
