About the Role:

The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking a Nurse Consultant to join the Adult Community Mental Health team.

As a Nurse Consultant, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care and support to adults navigating mental health challenges within the community setting. Your expertise and compassion will be instrumental in promoting recovery, fostering independence, and empowering individuals to lead fulfilling lives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing a comprehensive assessment, care planning, and ongoing management of clients with complex mental health needs.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, advocating for client-centred care and effective treatment strategies.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices, policies, and procedures within the service.
  • Mentoring and supporting nursing staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Actively participating in quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation to enhance patient outcomes.

To be eligible for this position, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. Must be enrolled in an approved mental health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice.
