Overview

You will contribute to the coordination and delivery of high quality, comprehensive and integrated physiotherapy services within the Strathalbyn Residential Aged Care Unit and the Strathalbyn Hospital including the Geriatric Evaluation Management Unit. Applying your clinical skills to a broad scope of practice, you will deliver services which promote self-care and personal responsibility. You will coordinate an increasingly complex Physiotherapy caseload and support other team members in managing the demands of the service. Applying Primary Health Care and community participation principles, you will ensure Physiotherapy services improve health outcomes and are responsive to changing community needs. Working under reduced clinical direction, you will contribute to the clinical supervision of less-experienced allied health professionals, allied health assistants and students. 

As part of the wider BHFLHN Physiotherapy team, you will be supported both personally and professionally, can take advantage of education and training opportunities, have access to flexible working hours and be part of an inter-professional approach to holistic health care.

You must hold a recognised qualification within the Physiotherapy profession and fulfill all requirements to achieve and maintain current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia. Demonstrating experience in the provision of physiotherapy services, you will be capable of supporting consumers through the Patient Journey, providing effective assessment and triage, timely referrals, accurate information, coordinated care and prompt follow-up. You will apply client-centred practice and community engagement principles in the development and delivery of services, ensuring clients are meaningfully involved in all aspects of their care.

More than one part time vacancy available: one vacancy is ongoing working 37.5 hours per fortnight; and one temporary vacancy working 37.5 per fortnight, up to 28/3/2025. This is a part time vacancy and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
