Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) is actively inviting talented and dedicated Trainee Medical Officers to be a part of our exceptional healthcare team.

About the role: 

As the Resident Medical Officer, your duties may include: 

  • Providing appropriate clinical care to patients, supervise interns and medical students.
  • Assisting in assessment and management of surgical patients admitted via emergency department.
  • Participating and be involved in a variety of elective and emergency surgical cases.
  • Being rostered on-call anywhere between 3-5 on calls per month.
  • Participating in and be involved in a variety of elective and emergency surgical cases.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will need: 

  • A Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
  • To be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner
  • Completed an internship training or relevant medical training to commence as a Surgical RMO
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people

As per the SMOEA 2022, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years.
