  • Temporary from 3/2/25 up to 30/1/26 and part-time working 30 hours per week (multiple roles)

About the Role 

As an Early Career Dietitian in the AHP1 position, you will play a vital role in delivering nutrition and dietetic consultancy services within CALHN. Reporting directly to the Director of Nutrition and Dietetics, you’ll collaborate with medical, nursing, and allied health teams to provide comprehensive nutritional support. Your expertise will be invaluable in assessing the dietary needs of patients, ensuring that their nutritional care aligns with best practices and enhances overall health outcomes.

In this dynamic position, you will focus on both inpatient and outpatient care, conducting nutritional assessments and delivering tailored education to empower patients in their recovery journeys. You will have opportunity to work across acute and sub-acute services throughout your tenure which will provide invaluable experience as you commence your career with us in CALHN. About You:

  • Qualifications: You hold an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification that qualifies you for full membership with the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA).

  • Clinical Skills: You demonstrate a solid understanding of dietetic assessment and treatment techniques, showcasing a range of clinical competencies.

  • Communication & Teamwork: You possess strong verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to relate effectively to patients, health professionals, and colleagues, and thrive in interdisciplinary teams.

  • Adaptability & Self-Improvement: You exhibit excellent time management skills, adaptability to changing workloads, and a commitment to ongoing personal and professional development through reflective practice.
