Overview

The Elective Surgery Administration Officer is responsible to the Elective Surgery Coordination Manager and will support the development and implementation of processes ensuring efficient and timely access to elective surgery procedures. The position will provide confidential administration, management support and project coordination which will assist in ensuring BHFLHN provides elective surgery services closer to home.

The incumbent will be responsible for undertaking the following functions:

  • Implementing elective surgery processes, in line with relevant policies and frameworks.
  • Ensuring timely waitlist management including registration, deferrals, cancellations, and regular admitting.
  • Supporting Operating Room Management Information System (ORMIS), including user support and undertaking scheduling and bookings.
  • Using digital platforms and electronic systems.
  • Developing elective surgery reports.
