Overview

Mount Barker District Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital is seeking Enrolled Nurses to join the motivated and professional team of staff in the Emergency Department. Assessing individual patient needs, you will plan, implement and coordinate appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options. You will monitor patients’ condition, recognising and responding to clinical deterioration or other incidents and escalating appropriately.

You will be enrolled or eligible for enrolment as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With experience within the boundaries of your education and skill preparation, you will be capable of providing nursing care in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice. The ability to work in Accident and Emergency, with ALS, Cannulation, triage and cardiac skills would be favourable. Your effective verbal and written communication skills will enable you to work well within a multidisciplinary team environment. In order to administer medicines, must have completed an approved program of study which includes an administration of medicine.
