Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide organizational and operational support to the ePCR Project, including representing the ePCR Data Manager in meetings, drafting correspondence, and actively participating in the ePCR Data Team.
  • Support and actively participate in the design of the ePCR Data Structure, including consultation with stakeholders, ensuring the data architecture meets SAAS requirements, engaging with system owners for integration needs, and providing expert advice on the ePCR Solution database design.
  • Manage the reengineering of the SAAS Data Warehouse, including discovery activities to map the existing architecture, collaborating with the SAAS Business Intelligence Unit on design and implementation, and developing testing plans.
  • Manage the development and implementation of the ePCR Data Migration strategy, working with relevant stakeholders such as the ePCR Data Manager, SAAS Clinical Telephone Assessment Team (CTA), and the ePCR Supplier.
  • Support ePCR Data Management activities, including the development of the data dictionary, determination of data owners, and introducing best practice tools, processes, standards, and methodologies.
  • Maintain working relationships with ePCR Data team members, other ePCR workgroups, internal and external stakeholders, and represent the ePCR Data team in various forums to assist with the development of strategies for SAAS.

The initiative marks a significant step toward modernising SAAS operations, aligning them with national standards, and ensuring that paramedics are equipped with the tools they need to deliver high-quality care across South Australia.

 The ePCR system will streamline the way paramedics record patient information, improving the accuracy and efficiency of care provided during emergencies. It will allow paramedics to enter patient observations and care details directly into a digital platform, accessible in real-time. This will not only enhance the quality of care delivered on the scene but also facilitate smoother handovers to hospital staff, as information can be instantly shared with receiving facilities.
