About the role: 

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, H@H offers an exceptional chance to develop your clinical skills while adhering to professional standards of practice and quality management initiatives consistent with organisational policies. Duties for the role will include:

  • Direct/indirect patient/client care: Provide compassionate and comprehensive care to infants, children, adults, and their families, addressing multiple complexities and diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Autonomous worker providing hospital level care in the patients' own home. 
  • Recognising and responding to clinical deterioration or other incidents and escalating appropriately.
  • Contribution to effective operation of the unit: Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient and seamless delivery of services.
  • Support of health setting services: Actively participate in the ongoing improvement and enhancement of healthcare services.
  • Education: Engage in continuous professional development to maintain cutting-edge knowledge and skills.
  • You will have the ability to prioritise workload, be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within a healthcare setting.  Demonstrating commitment to providing consumer/client and family centred care, you will have proven experience in delivering high quality and safe care.
  • To be appointed at the RN2C (Clinical Nurse) level you must already be employed at that level

About you:

  • Advanced assessment skills and advanced wound management experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with PICC, ports, venepuncture, and IV cannulation.
  • Effective communication skills, including problem-solving, conflict resolution, negotiation skills, and confidence to work autonomously in the community.
  • Must hold a current unrestricted Australian driver's licence.
  • (RN2) Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience in an acute hospital setting.
  • (RN1/RN2) Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate
