The Role

Join our dedicated team as a Services Assistant, where you will play a vital role in ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment within our health unit. You’ll be responsible for delivering timely, efficient, and effective services, including catering and cleaning, all aimed at enhancing the well-being of our clients.

In this engaging position, you will prepare, serve, and deliver nourishing meals to clients, ensuring they receive the care and attention they deserve. Additionally, you'll maintain a clean and hygienic environment through general housekeeping tasks, contributing to a positive atmosphere.

You may also have the opportunity to assist with laundry duties, adding variety to your day-to-day responsibilities.

The Port Augusta Hospital and Regional Health Service is a large regional hospital that provides a wide range of services including emergency, general and surgical, maternity, outpatient, and outreach services. The hospital has 58 beds including flex and monitored beds. The Port Augusta Hospital also has chemotherapy services and has a Renal Dialysis Unit and a Paediatric Department, both of which are the largest outside of Adelaide. Our staff work in close partnership with community health services and Aboriginal health providers, to ensure that optimum care is delivered to all areas of the community.
