About the Role

As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM), you will play a key leadership role in supporting the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) in the management and delivery of high-quality nursing services within your ward/unit/service. You will work in a variety of health service settings, utilising your experience and further study to guide and develop less experienced staff while maintaining your own high standards of practice. This is an exciting opportunity to take on increased responsibility, collaborating with your team to promote consistency and continuity of care for patients.

In this role, you will support the NUM with a range of management responsibilities, including performance management, staffing, rostering, and leave management. You will also be involved in financial and supplies planning and monitoring, ensuring efficient operations within the unit. Your contribution will be vital in implementing practice changes and driving service improvement, as you work alongside other ANUMs to achieve shared goals. About You

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Associate Nurse Unit Manager to join our team. If you are a skilled nurse with strong leadership abilities and a passion for quality patient care, we want to hear from you!

Key Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse/Midwife: Minimum 3 years post-registration experience, or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.
  • Leadership & Communication: Proven ability to communicate effectively, solve problems, and lead within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in Supervision: Skilled in supervising and mentoring student nurses and less experienced staff.
  • Knowledge of Healthcare Standards: Strong understanding of relevant legislation, quality improvement systems, and the role of an Associate Nurse Unit Manager.
