 About the Role

As a Senior Clinical/Health Psychologist at Hampstead Centre, you will be an integral part of the Geriatric Evaluation and Management Unit (GEMU) and Specialist Dementia wards. You will collaborate with Allied Health, Medical, and Nursing teams to deliver world-class care to older adults. In this role, you will conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, provide tailored interventions, and offer consultation to the multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care. Your expertise will be key in supporting patients through their psychological needs, ensuring they receive holistic care throughout their treatment.

There is also the opportunity to contribute to the development and facilitation of therapeutic groups designed to support patients’ mental health and well-being. About You

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Clinical/Health Psychologist to join our team. To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • A Master’s Degree in Clinical or Health Psychology (or equivalent) and general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA), with an endorsed area of practice in Clinical Psychology and/or Health Psychology.
  • Supervision experience with board-approved supervisor status at all levels.
  • Significant experience in managing complex psychological cases in older persons, including individual, group, and family interventions, and the ability to independently design and evaluate complex psychological procedures.
  • Demonstrated expertise in providing specialist consultancy, conducting research, and offering clinical supervision, as well as managing ethical issues related to confidentiality and privacy.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills, with the ability to think strategically and work independently to drive service development.

The position is available up to 1.0FTE and job share will be considered. The role is a Senior position, however experienced AHP2s may apply.
