Join our Marion Psychosis Team as a Registered Nurse/Clinical Nurse! 

About the role: 

Reporting to the Team Manager in Marion Psychosis Team, duties for the role may include:

  • Keeping up to date with, implementing and monitoring evidence-based practices and quality management initiatives consistent with organisation polices particularly in regard to ordering, storing and administration of depot medications to consumers with psychotic illnesses.
  • Recognise and respond to clinical deterioration in consumers and escalate accordingly.
  • Undertake evidence based physical health assessments and recognise symptoms that may indicate physical health concerns and escalate accordingly.
  • Manage a consumer case list and work with consumers with the aim of maximising wellbeing, assisting stabilisation of mental health, rehabilitation, and building functional capacity for self-management in the community.

This is a single vacancy, with two possible appointment classifications. The successful applicants will be appointed in the position appropriate to their skills, qualifications, and experience.

About you:

  • Registered as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds a current practicing certificate,
  • Must be enrolled in an approved mental health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice,
  • Ability to work within a team framework that fosters an environment that develops staff potential,
  • Demonstrated competence in mental health nursing practice in accordance with the relevant standards
  • RN/2C - To be considered for the RN2C (Clinical Nurse) level you must have at least three years, full time equivalent, post registration experience with experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses,
