This role is integral in shaping the future of healthcare delivery while supporting the growth and development of staff across various health service settings.

About the Role:

As a TPPP Clinical Nurse/Midwife Facilitator, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional nursing and/or midwifery services, providing direct clinical support, supervision, and professional development to a wide range of staff, including graduate nurses and midwives. This position will allow you to further develop from a competent to proficient practitioner while making a significant impact on the quality of patient care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Accountability: Ensure high standards of clinical practice while accepting accountability for your own practice and the development of others.
  • Collaborative Practice: Work closely within a multidisciplinary team to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.

What We Are Looking For:

We are seeking a Registered Nurse/Midwife who is either currently registered or eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and holds, or is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. You should have:

  • At least 3 years post-registration experience in nursing or midwifery (full-time equivalent).
  • Demonstrated clinical competence in relevant areas of nursing/midwifery practice, in line with professional standards.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills to effectively manage complex situations.
  • Proven ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines with minimal supervision, while maintaining flexibility and creativity in clinical settings.
  • Experience leading and supporting student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses.
  • Solid knowledge of Quality Improvement Systems and contemporary nursing/midwifery and healthcare issues.

You should also have a solid understanding of relevant legislation, codes, ethics, and competency standards that guide nursing/midwifery practice in Australia. Experience in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) is also highly desirable.
