We are seeking a passionate and dedicated RN3 Nurse Consultant to join our dynamic team at the Noarlunga Community Team Acute, Mental Health division within the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network.

About the role: 

Reporting to the Nursing Director and Team Manager, this role you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality mental health care to our community. Your responsibilities will include providing expert clinical leadership, mentoring and supporting nursing staff, and ensuring best practice standards are maintained across the unit. Duties for the role will include:

  • Participating in the coordination of consumer care delivery.
  • Coordination and leadership of projects and/or programs that contribute clinical expertise to improve consumer/service outcomes.
  • Primarily providing nursing care to complex patients.

About you:

  • Registered as a Nurse by the Nursing/Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and who holds a current practicing certificate; and must be enrolled in an approved mental health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice
  • Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
