About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the CAMHS team as a Senior Suicide Prevention Practitioner, where you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the CAMHS Suicide Prevention Pathway (SPP) in alignment with national policies and WCHN values.
  • Coordinating training and professional development activities for staff in collaboration with internal and external partners.
  • Facilitating culturally informed clinical education, training, and supervision to enhance workforce knowledge and capacity.
  • Coordinating and delivering training across the CAMHS service and collaborating with key agencies.
  • Participating in research projects to improve inter-professional learning and service quality.
  • Supporting the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of safety and quality systems related to the CAMHS Suicide Prevention Strategy.
  • Enhancing the quality and safety of WCHN services in accordance with clinical governance and NSQHS standards.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • The appropriate degree or equivalent qualification belonging to your relevant allied health discipline (please see role descriptions attached for more information).
  • Highly developed communication and presentation skills that foster networking, consultation and interaction with a range of staff and consumers on a group or individual basis.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and manage organisational priorities in a demanding environment.
  • Highly developed skills in the area of using technology in clinical mental health settings.
  • Developed, implemented and evaluated a range of training and development activities in a clinical setting to achieve organisational goals.
  • Experience working in a clinical mental health setting with complex clients with emotional and behavioural issues.
