About the role: 

Reporting to the Registrars, Fellows, Head of Unit in this role is you will be part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, gaining invaluable experience in various surgical specialties. This position will expose you to a diverse range of cases, allowing you to hone your skills and contribute to improving patient outcomes. You will work alongside esteemed surgeons, physicians, and healthcare professionals, fostering a collaborative learning environment. Duties for the role will include:

About you:

  • Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
  • Registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people including colleagues and other professional staff.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team and provide direction, show leadership to junior medical staff and have affective interpersonal skills and teaching skills. 

As per the SMOEA 2022, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 12-month allocation as Advanced Trainee will be determined in line with your training and SA Health’s requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills, and capabilities.
