- Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network – Location Negotiable Within Region
- Full Time | Temporary (up to 26 December 2025 with possible extension to November 2026)
- Base Salary Range:
- RN/M3 | $125,183- $130,779 p.a
- AHP3 | $104,180 - $111,746 p.a
- ASO6 | $98,478 - $104,165 p.a
- In addition to base salary, this position attracts Superannuation, Leave Loading, and Salary Sacrificing Benefits (salary packaging). The classification RN/M may also be eligible for Zone Allowance and once off Incidental Payment (conditions apply), and Professional Development Allowance.

Please note that as this position is multi-classed as either a RN/M3, AHP3 or ASO6 the classification will be determined by qualifications and experience.

Our Allied and Community Health Teams are multi-disciplinary teams who work together towards the common goal of improving health outcomes of our community members. Services are based in Port Augusta and Whyalla, with regular outreach clinics held in Roxby Downs, Quorn, Hawker, Maree and Leigh Creek. We offer a wide range of centre-based, in-home and community-based services to people of all ages and tailor our services to best meet our client needs. About the Role:
As the Aged Care Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of aging and disability services within the Local Health Network. Drawing on your experience and expertise, you will lead the planning, development, and implementation of strategic initiatives aligned with the FUNLHN business plans, driving positive change and reform in aged care.
In this dynamic role, you’ll provide operational leadership, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery through monitoring, data collection, and evaluation. Your leadership will influence improvements in service quality, safety, and community-driven distribution, all while fostering collaboration across nursing, allied health, and other key stakeholders to ensure high quality services are provided to meet the evolving needs of the community.
As a key member of the Community and Allied Health Leadership team, you'll contribute to the operational planning of aged care and disability programs, ensuring integration with other essential services. You will be accountable for coordinating patient care, leading multi-disciplinary teams, and developing a positive, high-performing work culture focused on delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

About You:
RN/M3
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- Registered Nurse and or Midwife with at least 3 years post registration experience.
- Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing and/or midwifery practice in accordance with the relevant standards
- Experience in management and leadership roles
- Experience in the supervision of students, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses and or midwives.
- Experience working with Aboriginal consumers and communities to provide culturally appropriate health services.
AHP3
- Must hold a recognised qualification within the relevant Allied Health Profession and be eligible for (full) membership of the relevant Allied Health Profession.
- Utilize specialist expertise, including Rural Generalist or specific discipline knowledge, to provide complex clinical and consultancy services across FUNLHN and professional networks.
- Work independently with clinical competence and advanced reflective-practice skills, applying new or complex techniques under professional guidance.
- Leverage in-depth knowledge of FUNLHN’s strategies, operations, and workforce to address complex responsibilities.
- Advise management on service development, practice, and redesign based on demand and client needs.
ASO6
- Demonstrated experience in leadership and or management in a large multidisciplinary community health setting.
- Demonstrated experience effectively managing and supporting staff in a complex organisation including performance management.
- Leading and managing organisational change in a community health setting.
- Demonstrated experience in developing effective collaborative relationships within the organisation and externally with the community and other agencies.
- Demonstrated experience in managing multiple and complex funding agreements.
- Demonstrated experience in planning, managing and evaluating client service activity data and information systems including Country Consolidated Client Management Engine (CCCME).
- Experience working with Aboriginal consumers.
