About the role:

As a Principal Project Officer, you will play a vital role in providing a comprehensive project management and coordination role, including the provision of advice and support to other project leads, managers and leadership.

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing a leadership role in the development, scoping, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of identified priority projects and initiatives that support CaFHS and the WCHN Community Services to deliver against the Community Services Strategy, WCHN Strategy and operational / business goals and priorities.
  • Providing a comprehensive project management and coordination role, including the provision of advice and support to other project leads, managers and leadership to support achievement of agreed goals and priorities.
  • Developing and maintaining engagement with key stakeholders and partners

 

About you:

To succeed in this position, you will be able to demonstrate your:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability to foster productive working relationships both internally and externally
  • Proven ability to apply theoretical and conceptual service improvement and project management knowledge
  • Proven ability to effectively negotiate and solve problems
  • Ability to be innovative, flexible and adaptive to respond effectively to changing demands, needs and priorities
  • Ability to meet timeframes for delivery of required projects and activities, effectively meeting deadlines within the context of multiple demands and changing priorities
  • Ability to maintain a high standard of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work effectively to support change in complex systems

A post graduate qualification in a relevant field like public health, primary health care, management or business from a recognised tertiary institution will held held in high regard, as will Project management qualifications.

Screening requirements:

  • DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC) - Prospective or current employee clearance
  • National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups.
  • The Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category B
    • Mandatory Vaccinations - Diphtheria, Pertussis (Whooping Cough), , Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chickenpox), Tuberculosis (TB) Assessment.
    • Strongly Recommended Vaccinations - Polio, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Seasonal Influenza, SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19)

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements.
