About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing services across various healthcare settings while supporting the leadership and operational responsibilities of the Nurse Unit Manager. As a proficient practitioner, you will contribute to the guidance and development of less experienced staff and ensure continuity and consistency of care in collaboration with your team.

As an ANUM, you will also play a vital role in implementing practice changes, managing ward operations, and contributing to key administrative functions such as recruitment, rostering, and performance management. This is an excellent opportunity to build your leadership skills while delivering exceptional patient-centred care in a supportive and collaborative environment.

About You

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM). To thrive in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience – Registered Nurse with at least 3 years’ post-registration experience and competence in your area of nursing practice.
  • Leadership and communication skills – Strong abilities in communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution, with experience supervising less experienced staff.
  • Collaborative approach – Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team while prioritising workloads and promoting consumer-centred care.
  • Comprehensive knowledge – Understanding of healthcare legislation, standards, and quality improvement systems, alongside the role of an ANUM.
