As the YNLHN Nurse Manager - Central Staffing and Recruitment (CenSTaR) Team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of patient care by overseeing the recruitment, placement, and management of Nurses, Midwives, Assistant in Nursing, and Direct Care Workers across our healthcare network. With your extensive clinical experience and leadership skills, you’ll ensure a streamlined and specialised approach to workforce management, providing exceptional service delivery and fostering a safe, positive work environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the CenSTaR Team in recruitment, placement, and staff support.
  • Advise on staffing, HR, risk management, and accreditation.
  • Ensure optimal staffing allocations for quality patient care.
  • Promote professional development, innovation, and change management.
  • Work with Executive Directors and stakeholders to meet staffing needs.

Essential Criteria

  • A current Nurse/Midwife registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • At least 3 years of post-registration experience in nursing or midwifery, with proven leadership and management expertise.
  • Experience leading and managing projects, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in change management, with a focus on improving processes and achieving better patient outcomes.
