Ward 5A is a 26 bed general medical ward that is used to assist with patients who are transitioning from the Emergency Department to other respective wards. As an Enrolled Nurse, you'll play a vital role in providing compassionate patient care and supporting the nursing team in ensuring the highest standards of healthcare delivery. This rewarding opportunity allows you to make a tangible impact on the well-being of our community while continuously developing your nursing skills in a supportive environment.

About the role: 

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, some of your duties as the Enrolled Nurse may involve:

  • Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, making decisions and taking initiative to plan and complete nursing care tasks within your scope of practice. 
  • Providing assistance to other members of the healthcare team in provision of care to individuals/groups, including overseeing the work of students. 
  • Providing education to patients/clients, families and carers.

About you:

  • Registered or eligible for registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. 
  • In order to administer medicines, must have completed a Board-approved program of study which includes an administration of medicines unit.
  • Previous experience in an acute setting.
  • Proven experience in delivering high quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Healthcare Service Standards.
  • High level of clinical assessment and communication skills.
