In this leadership position, you will support the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager in driving excellence, fostering a collaborative environment, and ensuring continuity of care. You will assist in managing day-to-day operations, including performance management, staffing, and rostering, while promoting positive practice changes. As a Clinical Coordinator, you’ll guide and mentor less experienced staff, contributing to their development and improving patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager to ensure consistent and high-quality care delivery.
  • Support the implementation of practice changes and contribute to ward/unit/service management.
  • Manage performance, recruitment, leave, and rostering for nursing staff.
  • Oversee financial planning, supply monitoring, and attend to operational responsibilities.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse or Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • At least 3 years’ experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience supervising student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced staff.
  • Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple tasks and prioritising effectively.
