About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Consultant Rheumatologist to join our team, where you will play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality clinical services to patients within the Rheumatology Department. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of cases, providing expert care to both inpatients and outpatients, while ensuring best practice in every aspect of service delivery. Your expertise will contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical practices, fostering an environment focused on patient safety and excellence in care.

Job responsibilities include providing specialist rheumatology services at YNLHN which includes both telehealth and face-to-face clinical encounters on a periodic basis.

In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will be involved in the teaching and training of both undergraduate and postgraduate students, sharing your knowledge and expertise to inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals. You will also have the opportunity to participate in cutting-edge research, helping to drive advancements in rheumatology care. About You

We are looking for a Consultant Rheumatologist who brings expertise, dedication, and a passion for high-quality patient care. To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • MBBS or equivalent and Specialist Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Authority.
  • Demonstrated clinical excellence, professional integrity, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and effectively communicate at all levels.
  • Experience in Rheumatology clinical practice, quality improvement, and adherence to clinical standards and patient rights.
