About the role

Join our dedicated Pre-Analytical Services team and make a meaningful impact on patient care and diagnostic excellence. As a Pre-Analytical Operational Services Officer, you will provide high-level customer service to patients during phlebotomy, specimen collection, and administrative duties, ensuring every interaction supports quality healthcare outcomes. You’ll be responsible for managing specimens in the pre-analytical stage, including receiving, sorting, and preparing them for analysis, while maintaining strict storage and transportation conditions to safeguard their integrity.

Whether you're starting your career in an OPS1 role with comprehensive training and close supervision or contributing independently at the OPS2 level, this position offers opportunities to grow your skills and expertise. You’ll play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely data entry into laboratory systems, responding to customer enquiries, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver efficient and effective services. About you

We are seeking entry level OPS1 Phlebotomists and experienced OPS2 Phlebotomists. Please note if applying for an OPS2 role you must have 2 years of phlebotomy experience within Australia with accompanying references. Please outline in your cover letter if you are applying for OPS1 or OPS2 role. Applications without cover letters will not be accepted.

Multiple positions available within the NALHN Catchment (MODBURY & LMH)
Hospital Ward Work is essential, and applicants must be available to work on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays when required.
