About the role

Join our dedicated team at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (TQEH) as an Unaccredited Radiology Registrar and play a vital role in delivering high-quality medical imaging services. Reporting to the Campus Clinical Head, you will contribute to a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care, teaching, and research. Your primary responsibility will involve assisting with general medical imaging services at TQEH, with the potential to deliver services across other South Australian Medical Imaging (SAMI) locations, including the Royal Adelaide Hospital. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain broad exposure across the Radiology Department and develop the essential knowledge, clinical skills, and research foundations for a career in Radiology.

This position is designed for motivated individuals eager to learn and grow in a supportive environment. You will collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary clinical and academic team, fostering a holistic understanding of radiology services in South Australia. While this role is based in a RANZCR-accredited training facility, it is not an accredited training position. Instead, it provides an excellent platform to develop the skills, self-education habits, and competencies needed to advance your radiology career.

About You

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated professional to join our team, bringing clinical excellence and a passion for radiology to this exciting role. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a commitment to patient care, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment. You will meet the following key requirements:

  • Educational Qualifications: Hold a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, with General Registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Skills and Abilities: Demonstrate clinical excellence, empathy for patients and their families, and strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Show the ability to work effectively under pressure, adapt to change, and communicate confidently in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience: Have at least four years of postgraduate experience (including the Intern year) and at least two years of training in Diagnostic Radiology, with active participation in multidisciplinary clinical meetings.
  • Knowledge: Possess a sound understanding of Radiology service delivery, quality improvement principles, patient rights and responsibilities, and relevant legislation, including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Work Health and Safety (WH&S).

If you bring these qualities and a commitment to excellence in radiology, we’d love to hear from you!
