Overview

The Allied Health Transition to Professional Practice Program Manager is accountable to the Principal Consultant Allied Health for the planning, facilitation, and coordination of the Allied Health Transition to Professional Practice Program (TPPP). This is a professional support program which provides new graduate/early career graduates as regional LHN Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) an opportunity to gain skills, knowledge and experience in areas relevant to regional LHN priorities.

The Transition to Professional Practice Program Manager develops the TPP program, applying clinical experience and project management skills working in partnership with key stakeholders to develop evidence-based program curriculum and facilitate multi-disciplinary sessions. The TPP program manager promotes the program across regional LHNs, supports participants to reflect on their new/early graduate experiences, facilitates an environment and networks for support of new-graduates, and is responsible for the monitoring, reporting and evaluation of the program. The program manager is responsive to the identified needs of the regional LHNs to ensure the program is practical and relevant to AHPs new to working in regional LHNs.

Qualifications

Must hold a recognised qualification within the relevant Allied Health Profession and be eligible for (full) membership of the relevant Professional Association. For those professions requiring registration, all requirements to obtain and maintain current registration must be fulfilled. For self-regulated professions it is desirable to participate in the professional association accredited CPD program. For appointment at this level must be able to demonstrate AHP3 level competencies.
